I am a PhD Researcher in the Political and Social Sciences Department at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

My research interests include the causes and effects of democratic reforms, focusing on the party competition dynamics that led to Dutch democracy.

I (co-)authored articles published in German Politics, Government & Opposition, and Parliamentary Affairs.

I hold a BSc with an Honours Degree in Political Science, and a MSc (cum laude) in Comparative Politics from Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
